I was fortunate enough to visit Paris in early 2005 when Louis Vuitton was doing renovations to their flagship store on the Champs-Élysées and managed to take the following two photographs.

In 2004, Louis Vuitton spent $1,5 million to erect the large scale Louis Vuitton suitcases on the outside of the building and another one to cover the George V side of the building.  The scaffolding effectively became a giant advertisement.
