Nisty, a Malawian born artist, began drawing as a hobby during primary school with friends. After finishing school, he observed an old friend making a living by selling their paintings and it was at that point that he decided to take his talent seriously.

Nisty uses small human figures to make his art pieces, the black circles on the art are human faces and he sees these as people who are part of his journey through life. At first glance you cannot see the little humans but once you see them you cannot ignore them and they become fascinating.
In his own words : “I feel that there is a certain measure of happiness, even when undergoing suffering.
A face is a mirror reflecting inner feelings. Even a smile can paint different feelings. The message I get from my characters and want to get across is – keep going despite any challenge”

Nisty prefers to use a palette knife for texture and spontaneity and does not want to limit himself to particular mediums.
His art sells in parts of Africa, Australia, the USA and Europe.
We have some beautiful artworks by Nisty available from our gallery – The Cow Artworks – in Parkhurst.
