I have been creating graffiti collages for quite a few years and I like to believe that it has evolved into beautiful artworks.
It started with a visit to China in September 2013, where there is an art district in Beijing called 798. It is a complex of 50-year-old decommissioned military factory buildings with a unique architectural style that houses a thriving artistic community. There was such a large number of graffiti all over the place, I was overwhelmed by the talent and variety.
Since then I have photographed graffiti in three provinces in South Africa, Perth, London, New York and Milan.
My latest graffiti was hung on the walls on Saturday and I am so happy with the end result. Instead of the normal conformity of all the blocks being equal in size and shape, I have included a couple of different sizes to make it more interesting.

This graffiti called “ GF DS “ comes with either a black or white background and is a limited edition of 20.

We hope to see you in the gallery soon to see for yourself.
