Installation in Cornwall Hill Estate
5 August, 2019

This modern New York style loft apartment was decorated by Deborah Garth from Deborah Garth Interior Design. We have worked together on numerous projects over the years with The Cow Artworks sourcing, proposing and supplying the artwork.

In the main bathroom a colourful image, chosen and loved by the client, was digitally printed on wallpaper. The model, fixing her make-up, on a break from the film shoot, added a feminine touch.

The staircase – an exposed brick wall – required something in a large format. Here the client chose a photograph of Louis Vuitton suitcases – an image I took in Paris in 2005, during the renovations of the Louis Vuitton building on the Champs-Élysées.

We changed the tone to sepia and printed it on canvas, giving it an almost industrial feel.

The large window required some privacy, not blocking out the light and the solution was a quirky photograph printed on vinyl which added a fun element. The image was of a bulldog sitting next to a pair of legs in high heeled shoes.

The end result of the art we supplied added humour and light relief to the hard lines of the modern architecture.

In March 2006 she opened the gallery in Parkhurst and has thrived in this beautiful space. Her passion for travel affords her the opportunity to take photographs, particularly candid shots of street scenes, graffiti and architecture.
